SURA 40:60

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ {60}

40:60And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!"

Allah will hear us, Forgive us, Guide us and make our path smooth – if we Pray to Him and seek His Grace with patience, and confess our human frailties by humbly approaching Him in earnest and in private – feeling a tremor in our hearts in giving Him sincere devotion and invoke with sure conviction that it will be granted – with a full attentive mind with absolute surrender to the ALMIGHTY for His Help. The hands raised up towards Allah in humble submission are not generally returned empty.

NOTE:4434-As this life is not the end of all things, and we are to have its fulfillment in the Hereafter; we have only to pray to the Lord of the Present and the Hereafter, and He will hear us, forgive us, guide us, and make our Path smooth. But Pride will have its fall, - and its humiliating Punishment.

ABU HURAIRAH – reported that the Apostle of Allah said:- Allah becomes displeased with one who does not invoke Him – Tirmizi.

SALMAN AL-FARISI – reported that the Apostle of Allah said:- Your Lord is ashamed to turn away empty the hands of His servant when he raises them – up before him. – Tirmizi, Abu Dawaud, Baihagi.

ANAS – reported that the Apostle of Allah said:- Let everyone of you implore his Lord for all that he needs even for the thong of his shoes when it is torn. Tirmizi

(6:40) “Will you invoke others besides Allah if you are truthful? Nay, Him (Allah) (alone) you shall invoke that He may clear that for which you pray”.

STRIVE

22:78- And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakahandhold fast to Allah . He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِاللَّه (and hold fast to Allah.) means, seek the help and support of Allah and put your trust in Him, and get strength from Him.

(He is your Mawla,) meaning, He is your Protector and your Helper, He is the One Who will cause you to prevail against your enemies.

فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِ (what an Excellent Mawla and what an Excellent Helper!) He is the best Mawla and the best Helper against your enemies.

This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Al-Hajj. May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and Companions, and grant them peace; may Allah honor and be pleased with the Companions and those who follow them in truth until the Day of Resurrection.

2:152- Then do ye remember ME; I will remember you, be grateful to ME and reject not faith..

Imam Ahmad reported that Anas narrated that Allah's Messenger said: (Allah the Exalted said, `O son of Adam! If you mention Me to yourself, I will mention you to Myself. If you mention Me in a gathering, I will mention you in a gathering of the angels (or said in a better gathering). If you draw closer to Me by a hand span, I will draw closer to you by forearm's length. If you draw closer to Me by a forearm's length, I will draw closer to you by an arm's length. And if you come to Me walking, I will come to you running). Its chain is Sahih, it was recorded by Al-Bukhari.

Allah said: وَاشْكُرُواْ لِي وَلاَ تَكْفُرُونِ (...and be grateful to Me (for My countless favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me.)

In this Ayah, Allah commands that He be thanked and appreciated, and promises even more rewards for thanking Him.
